Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I refill?

Refilling is essentially source reduction. Reusing your containers keeps plastic out of the system. Recycling is great, but the market for recycled plastic can’t keep up with our single use of plastic. Without market demand for recycled plastic products, there is no use for the plastic you’ve thrown in the blue bin. In this case, the plastic just becomes collected not recycled. Collected plastic ends up in the landfill. Recycling just isn't good enough.

Can I bring my own container or do I have to buy one of yours?

That's the idea! Bring in your own container. We especially love it when customers get creative. We’ve seen wine bottles used as dish soap, storage bins used to purchase dish powder and mason glass jars for conditioners and creams! But if you really don’t have any, you can pull from our upcycled collection of glass, aluminum and plastic containers! We have bottles, jars, and tins!

Can I bring you my recycling to you?

Actually, yes! ... some of it. Please read this blog post and learn how you can get discounts up to 50% on your purchase of Refyll products.

Is there a minimum amount I have to purchase?

Nope. That’s the beauty of refylling! With refylling you can try something without a big commitment. Buy just a few ounces, go home and try it, come back to refyll over and over again.
Likewise, there is no "bulk price break."

Why do you sell by weight and not liquid volume?

We sell by weighted ounce. This allows you to bring a partially full container and refyll before you are completely out.
When we purchase ingredients to make our products, they are sold by weight. Example: We regularly purchase 35 lbs of coconut oil and not 35 gallons.
